Contract & commercial furniture

Furniture designed for public use, made in project quantities.

Contract furniture is not domestic furniture sold in larger numbers. A restaurant chair is pulled, loaded and cleaned thousands of times a year; a café table is wiped with detergent every hour; a clinic's waiting bench serves hundreds of people a day. At Hammer commercial furniture is built for that use from the start: engineered solid-wood joints on Bacci machining centres, metal frames from our in-house shop, a Cefla-line finish that withstands cleaning, and contract-grade fabrics — then manufactured in the hundreds to the same tolerance.

Since 2020 we have shipped more than 20,000 contract furniture pieces to hotels, restaurants, cafés and developers in Egypt, and we export to the Gulf.

Sectors we manufacture for

  • Restaurants and cafés — chairs, tables, banquettes, bars and buffets, from an approved prototype to opening day.
  • Hotels and resortshotel furniture for rooms, F&B, lobbies and outdoor areas.
  • Offices and administrative buildings — reception desks, meeting tables, wall units and waiting seating.
  • Clinics, schools and public buildings — waiting seating, counters and storage with easy-clean surfaces.
  • Residential compounds — clubhouse, lobby and common-area furniture for developers.
  • Outdoor — terrace and pool furniture, pergolas, timber decking and metal structures.

How a contract furniture project runs

We take the piece list, drawings or reference images and quantities. We return a prototype of each new piece for approval of proportions, comfort, finish and fabric, a quantity price and a production schedule. After approval the specification is frozen and production runs on CNC templates, with every batch inspected to ISO 9001. Delivery and installation inside Egypt by our own teams; export by container to the Gulf.

A manufacturer, not a reseller

Three factories at Abu Rawash — panels, doors, solid wood and metal — across 11,000+ m² with 150+ specialists. When you buy contract furniture from Hammer you buy from the manufacturer, at factory price, with the factory responsible for quality. See also loose furniture and custom furniture.

Questions

Contract furniture — questions.

What makes furniture 'contract grade'?

Construction and materials chosen for heavy public use: engineered solid-wood or metal frames, reinforced joints, finishes that withstand cleaning agents, and contract-rated fabrics and foams — manufactured consistently in quantity rather than one at a time.

What is your minimum order?

We manufacture in project quantities — typically tens to hundreds of a piece. Smaller runs are quoted when they form part of a larger scope.

Can you manufacture our own design?

Yes — most contract work is to the client's or designer's design. We build a prototype for approval, then produce. We also have our own collections (Ginko, Kemet, Stony, Kopa) available for projects.

Do you supply commercial furniture outside Egypt?

Yes — we export to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, containerised from Egypt's ports.
