A hotel door is a different product from a house door.
A hotel room door opens dozens of times a day, closes on its own, carries an electronic lock, a peephole, a kick plate and acoustic seals — and is expected to look the way it did on opening day ten years later. That is why Hammer manufactures it as a complete package: a thick leaf on an acoustic core, precise boring for the operator's lock system on the KDT line, matching frame and architraves, and a finish from the same veneer or lacquer batch as the room's wardrobe and headboard.
We are the hotel door manufacturer behind more than 2,000 hotel rooms in Egypt — for Red Sea and Cairo hotels and resorts — and now supply programmes in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Doors for every part of the hotel
- Guest-room entrance doors — 44–50 mm, acoustic, prepared for RFID/BLE locks from Assa Abloy, dormakaba, Salto or others, with closer and peephole.
- Bathroom doors — moisture-resistant core and sealed edges, sliding or hinged, in the room's veneer.
- Connecting doors — paired leaves with acoustic seals and privacy bolt for suites and family rooms.
- Corridor and stair doors — fire-rated door sets with closers and matching frames.
- Ballroom and public-area doors — full-height double doors for ballrooms, restaurants and lobbies with matching cladding.
- Back-of-house doors — hard-wearing HPL doors for staff areas, stores and laundry.
Matching the door to the room
Because Hammer also manufactures the complete hotel room furniture in Factory 01, the room's door, wardrobe, headboard and TV unit can leave from the same veneer lot and the same finishing line. No matching between suppliers, and no colour difference between the door and the wardrobe in room 412.
Renovations and operating hotels
To replace the doors of an operating hotel, we survey the existing openings, pre-manufacture doors bored for the current or new lock system, and install floor by floor to keep rooms out of service for as short a time as possible. Our own installation teams work across Egypt.
