A door manufacturer built for programmes, not one-offs.
When a developer in New Cairo needs 3,000 doors for a residential compound, or a Red Sea hotel operator needs 400 entrance doors and 400 bathroom doors in the same veneer, colour and lock preparation, that is a job for a door factory, not a joinery workshop. Hammer's Factory 02, at KM 28 on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, was designed around exactly this demand: one automated line that takes raw board and frame stock in and sends a finished, bored, coated door out — ready to hang.
We run what we believe is one of the biggest and most automated door lines in Egypt, with a peak capacity of 200 finished doors a day. Since 2020 we have delivered more than 10,000 doors to programmes such as Uptown Cairo for Emaar Misr and SAADA for Innovo, alongside Red Sea hotels and resorts, and we now export to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
What the door factory produces
- Wooden doors — flush and panelled doors in natural veneer, lacquer or HPL, on solid, tubular or honeycomb cores.
- Hotel doors — guest-room, bathroom and corridor doors prepared for electronic locks, closers and acoustic seals.
- Fire-rated doors — fire-rated core door sets with matching frames, hinges and hardware to the project specification.
- Residential doors — apartment entrance and interior doors at developer volume for compounds in Cairo, the coast and the New Administrative Capital.
- Double & architectural doors — ballroom, meeting-room and lobby doors at full height with matching wall cladding.
How the automated door line works
A door starts in Italpresse hot presses, where core and faces are bonded under controlled pressure and temperature. It moves to the automated KDT line, which squares the door to its final size and bores hinge, lock and hardware positions from a CNC programme prepared from the project drawings — so every door in a batch is identical. Edges are banded on the SCM Stefani line and the door is calibrated on Biesse sanding before the Cefla automatic spray line and curing ovens.
The result is a door that arrives on site to tolerance, with hardware preparation in place and a colour that matches across the entire batch — which is what matters when 400 rooms are waiting for handover.
Frames, hardware and installation in Egypt
Frames, architraves and linings are manufactured on the same site so the door arrives as a complete system. We supply and pre-fit hardware — hinges, locks, closers and acoustic seals — or prepare for hardware specified by the consultant. Inside Egypt our own teams install, from Abu Rawash to any site; for export we pack doors by room number so they move straight from the container to the floor.
