About Hammer
What is Hammer?
Hammer (hammereg.com) is an integrated wood and metal manufacturer in Egypt, founded in 2020. It manufactures doors, complete hotel-room furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, joinery and solid-wood and metal furniture for hotels, resorts and real-estate developers, from three specialised factories on one 11,000+ m² site in Abu Rawash, Giza.
Where is Hammer located?
Hammer's factories are at KM 28 on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, Industrial Area Abu Rawash 6B, Giza, Egypt — on the main Cairo–Alexandria highway, with direct road access to Cairo, Alexandria and Egypt's ports.
How big is Hammer?
Hammer runs three specialised factories totalling more than 11,000 m² with over 150 staff. Peak capacity is 200 doors, 30 complete hotel rooms and 30 loose-furniture pieces per day. Since 2020 it has delivered more than 10,000 doors, 2,000 hotel rooms and 20,000 furniture pieces, which makes it one of the biggest door and hotel furniture factories in Egypt.
Is Hammer ISO certified?
Yes. Hammer holds ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety), certified by SSC, an EGAC-accredited certification body (CAB #011706). The certified scope is the production of wooden doors and all hospitality wooden and metal furniture.
Who founded Hammer?
Hammer was founded in 2020 by Khaled Azab, its Founder and Managing Director, who studied Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering in Glasgow and built the factories around automated European production lines.
Which clients has Hammer worked with?
Selected work includes the Uptown Cairo door programme for Emaar Misr, volume door supply for SAADA by Innovo, the full lobby renovation and FF&E at The V in Sahl Hasheesh, guest rooms for Flow hotels, Pyramisa and Sunset Pearl, and an export collaboration with MAG in Dubai that is in progress.
Does Hammer export outside Egypt?
Yes. Hammer installs with its own teams across Egypt and exports doors, room packages and furniture to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, supplying installation drawings, numbered packing and on-site supervision where required.
How do I get a quotation from Hammer?
Send the drawings, door or FF&E schedule and target programme to sales@hammereg.com or WhatsApp +20 104 009 7550. Hammer returns shop drawings, samples and a manufacturing plan; hotel programmes start with a mock-up room for approval.
Doors & the door factory
Door manufacturer & door factory
Is Hammer the biggest door factory in Egypt?
Hammer runs one of the biggest and most automated door factories in Egypt: a dedicated door plant with a fully automated KDT line producing up to 200 finished doors a day, on an 11,000+ m² integrated site at Abu Rawash with 150+ staff. More than 10,000 doors have been delivered since 2020.
Where is the door factory located?
KM 28 on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, Industrial Area Abu Rawash 6B, Giza — about 40 minutes from central Cairo, with direct road access to Alexandria and Egypt's ports. Factory visits are welcome by appointment.
What is the minimum order for a door programme?
The line is set up for programmes — typically from a few hundred doors upwards — but we also quote smaller hotel and villa packages when they sit alongside room or joinery scope. Send the door schedule and we will confirm.
Which finishes are available?
Natural wood veneer (oak, walnut, ash and others), high-pressure laminate (HPL), PVC/CPL foils and lacquer in any RAL or NCS colour — matte, satin or gloss — applied on the automated Cefla spray and UV line.
Do you export doors from Egypt?
Yes — to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. Doors are manufactured to export specification, packed per room number and shipped by sea or road; an active programme is under way with a developer in Dubai.
Wooden door manufacturer
Which wood veneers do you offer?
Oak, walnut, ash, teak, wenge, beech and others on request, in crown-cut or quarter-cut. Veneer is matched across the door leaf, frame, architraves and any adjacent wall cladding from the same batch.
Are the doors solid wood or engineered?
Both. Most hotel and residential doors are engineered — a stable core (solid timber, tubular chipboard, honeycomb or MDF) with hardwood lipping and a veneered or lacquered face — because it stays flat in Egypt's climate. Fully solid-hardwood doors are made in Factory 03 for entrances and villas.
Can you match an existing door or an interior designer's sample?
Yes. Send a sample or a finish reference and we will produce a matched veneer or lacquer sample for approval before production.
What is the lead time for wooden doors in Egypt?
It depends on quantity and finish; the automated line produces up to 200 doors a day once a programme is running, and delivery is phased to the site schedule. Send the schedule for a dated plan.
Hotel door manufacturer
Can you prepare doors for our electronic lock system?
Yes. Send the lock manufacturer's cut-out drawing (Assa Abloy VingCard, dormakaba, Salto, Onity and others) and the doors are bored on the KDT line to that template, with the correct backset and thickness. We can also pre-fit the locks if supplied.
Are your hotel doors acoustic rated?
Guest-room entrance and connecting doors are built on solid or acoustic cores with perimeter and drop-down seals to meet typical hotel acoustic requirements; tell us the target rating and we will specify the construction.
Do you supply fire-rated hotel doors?
Yes — fire-rated door sets for guest-room entrances, corridors and stairs with matching frames, closers and intumescent seals, manufactured to the project's fire specification. See the fire-rated doors page for details.
Which hotels have you supplied doors to?
Hotel work includes guest rooms and suites for Flow hotels, Pyramisa and Sunset Pearl, and the lobby and ballroom doors at The V in Sahl Hasheesh, alongside large residential door programmes for Emaar Misr and Innovo.
Fire-rated door manufacturer
Which fire ratings can you supply?
We manufacture to the rating your fire consultant specifies — commonly 30, 60 or 90 minutes — using the appropriate fire-rated core, frame, seals and hardware for that rating. Send the door schedule and the fire strategy and we will confirm the construction for each door type.
Do you supply the frame, seals and closer as well?
Yes — a fire-rated door is supplied and installed as a complete set: leaf, frame, architraves, intumescent and smoke seals, rated hinges, closer and lock preparation, with documentation for the full assembly.
Can fire-rated doors have the same finish as the guest-room doors?
Yes. The rated leaf takes the same veneer, HPL or lacquer as the rest of the hotel, applied on the same Cefla finishing line, so corridor and room doors match.
Do you install fire doors?
Inside Egypt, yes — our teams install the complete set so the gaps, seals and closer settings are correct, which is what the rating depends on.
Hotel furniture, rooms & fit-out
Hotel furniture manufacturer & supplier
Are you a hotel furniture manufacturer or a supplier?
Both — we manufacture in our own factories at Abu Rawash, Giza and supply and install directly, with no intermediary. That is what keeps the price at factory level and the quality under one roof.
How many hotel rooms can the factory furnish per month?
Factory 01 produces up to 30 complete room sets a day at peak — several hundred rooms a month once a programme is running — with the door factory and the loose-furniture factory feeding the same schedule.
Do you work from an interior designer's drawings?
Yes — that is the normal route. We produce shop drawings, samples and a mock-up room from the designer's drawings and materials schedule, then manufacture to the approved standard.
Can you renovate an operating hotel?
Yes. Rooms and public areas are pre-manufactured to shorten the closure window and installed floor by floor by our own teams.
Which hotel projects have you supplied?
Guest rooms and suites for Flow hotels, Pyramisa and Sunset Pearl; the full lobby renovation and FF&E at The V in Sahl Hasheesh; door programmes for Emaar Misr and Innovo; and an export programme with MAG in Dubai in progress.
Hospitality furniture manufacturer
What does a hospitality furniture manufacturer supply?
Everything in wood and metal for a hotel or resort: doors, complete guest-room furniture, lobby and reception joinery, wall cladding, restaurant and café furniture, spa and back-of-house joinery, and outdoor decking, pergolas and metal structures — manufactured to one specification and finished on one line.
Is Hammer one of the largest hospitality manufacturers in Egypt?
With three specialised factories, 11,000+ m² under roof, 150+ staff and a peak output of 200 doors, 30 complete hotel rooms and 30 furniture pieces a day, Hammer is one of the largest integrated hospitality manufacturers in Egypt — and one of the few able to supply doors, rooms and loose furniture from a single site.
Can you work from an FF&E consultant's specification?
Yes — that is the normal route. We produce shop drawings, samples and a mock-up room from the consultant's drawings and materials schedule, and manufacture to the approved standard.
Which countries do you export to?
Primarily the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, with an active Dubai programme; we also quote for Africa and Europe. Freight is coordinated from Abu Rawash via Egypt's Mediterranean and Red Sea ports.
Hotel room furniture manufacturer
How many hotel rooms can Hammer manufacture per month?
Factory 01 produces up to 30 complete room sets a day at peak, which in practice means several hundred rooms a month once a programme is running — with the door factory and the loose-furniture factory feeding the same schedule in parallel.
Do you build a mock-up room before production?
Yes. Every programme starts with a full mock-up room built from the shop drawings, signed off by the operator and consultant, and used as the reference standard for the whole run.
Can you manufacture to an interior designer's specification?
That is how most programmes work. We take the designer's drawings, materials schedule and finish references, produce shop drawings and samples for approval, and manufacture to them — matching veneers, laminates and lacquers across doors, case goods and cladding.
Do you also install the rooms?
Inside Egypt, yes — our own teams install. For export programmes we supply installation drawings, numbered packing and, where required, supervision on site.
Hotel fit-out contractor
What is the difference between a hotel fit-out contractor and a furniture manufacturer?
A fit-out contractor takes responsibility for the whole interior package on site — survey, shop drawings, manufacture, delivery, installation and handover. Hammer does both: we manufacture in our own factories and install with our own teams, so there is one contract and one party responsible for the result.
Do you handle MEP, tiling or painting?
Our scope is the wood and metal fit-out — doors, joinery, cladding, furniture, outdoor structures — and its installation. We coordinate with the main contractor and the MEP and finishing trades around our programme, and can work under a main contractor or directly for the owner.
How long does a hotel fit-out take?
It depends on room count and scope. Because manufacturing runs in parallel across three factories and installation is phased floor by floor, a typical programme is set by the site's readiness rather than by our capacity. Send the schedule and we will return a dated programme.
Can you fit out hotels outside Egypt?
Yes — we export fit-out packages to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, with installation drawings, numbered packing and site supervision. An active programme is under way with a developer in Dubai.
FF&E manufacturer
What does FF&E mean and what do you manufacture of it?
FF&E stands for furniture, fixtures and equipment — the movable and fixed items that fit out a hotel after construction. Hammer manufactures the wood and metal FF&E: fixed case goods, loose furniture, doors, cladding and public-area joinery. Equipment such as TVs, safes and minibars is specified by the operator and integrated into our units.
Do you manufacture to brand standards?
Yes — we manufacture to the operator's brand standards and the consultant's specification, and the mock-up room is signed off against them before production.
Can you take the whole FF&E package or only part of it?
Either. Most programmes give us the full wood and metal package so it matches; we also manufacture individual packages — doors only, case goods only, loose furniture only — alongside other suppliers.
How do you handle FF&E for hotels outside Egypt?
We manufacture to export specification, pack by room number, containerise from Egypt's ports and supply installation drawings and supervision. An active programme is under way with a developer in Dubai.
Kitchens, joinery & furniture
Hotel & custom kitchen manufacturer
Do you manufacture kitchens for individual homes?
Our line is set up for volume — developer compounds, serviced apartments and hotel programmes — and for custom villa and penthouse kitchens. We quote individual apartments when they sit alongside a larger scope.
Which materials do you use for kitchen carcasses?
Moisture-resistant MDF (MR-MDF) or high-moisture-resistance (HMR) chipboard as standard, plywood where specified; fronts in natural veneer, lacquer, HPL, PET or acrylic; edges automatically banded on SCM Stefani lines.
Can wardrobes match the hotel-room doors?
Yes — wardrobes, doors, headboards and TV units are manufactured as one room set from the same veneer lot and lacquer batch, finished on the same line.
Do you install kitchens?
Inside Egypt, yes — our own teams install kitchens and wardrobes unit by unit to the handover schedule. For export we supply numbered flat-pack units with installation drawings.
Joinery manufacturer & woodwork contractor
Do you manufacture the joinery yourselves?
Yes — all joinery is manufactured in our own factories at Abu Rawash, Giza on CNC machining centres and finished on our automated Cefla line, then installed by our own teams. Nothing is subcontracted to outside workshops.
Can you produce curved or parametric joinery?
Yes. Curved reception desks, parametric benches and slatted feature walls are modelled in 3D, machined on CNC and assembled in the factory before installation.
Do you work with interior designers and fit-out contractors?
Yes — most of our joinery work comes through designers, FF&E consultants, fit-out contractors and main contractors. We provide shop drawings, samples and mock-ups for approval and manufacture to them.
Which veneers and finishes are available for joinery?
Natural veneers (oak, walnut, ash, teak and others), solid hardwoods, lacquer in any RAL/NCS colour and HPL, all finished on the same line so cladding, doors and furniture match.
Lobby furniture manufacturer
Can you manufacture a reception desk to the designer's drawings?
Yes. Straight, curved or parametric desks are modelled in 3D from the designer's drawings, machined on CNC, fitted with stone or solid-surface tops and cable management, and installed by our teams.
Do you upholster lounge seating?
Yes — solid-wood or metal frames are made in Factory 03 and upholstered in the fabrics or leathers specified by the project.
Can lobby furniture match the guest-room finishes?
Yes. Because rooms, doors and lobby pieces are finished on the same Cefla line from the same veneer and lacquer batches, the lobby and the rooms read as one property.
Do you export lobby furniture?
Yes — pieces are packed and containerised from Egypt to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC with installation drawings.
Loose furniture manufacturer
What is the minimum quantity for loose furniture?
Factory 03 is set up for project quantities — typically tens to hundreds of a piece — but we quote smaller runs when they form part of a room, lobby or restaurant programme.
Do you make a prototype first?
Yes. Every new design starts with a prototype for approval of proportions, comfort, finish and fabric before the production run.
Which timbers do you use?
Oak, ash, beech and walnut for indoor pieces; teak and treated timbers for outdoor. All timber is kiln-dried and machined on Bacci centres for repeatable joints.
Do you upholster in-house?
Yes — frames are made and upholstered in Factory 03 in the fabrics or leathers specified by the project, or from our own selection.
Contract & commercial furniture manufacturer
What makes furniture 'contract grade'?
Construction and materials chosen for heavy public use: engineered solid-wood or metal frames, reinforced joints, finishes that withstand cleaning agents, and contract-rated fabrics and foams — manufactured consistently in quantity rather than one at a time.
What is your minimum order?
We manufacture in project quantities — typically tens to hundreds of a piece. Smaller runs are quoted when they form part of a larger scope.
Can you manufacture our own design?
Yes — most contract work is to the client's or designer's design. We build a prototype for approval, then produce. We also have our own collections (Ginko, Kemet, Stony, Kopa) available for projects.
Do you supply commercial furniture outside Egypt?
Yes — we export to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, containerised from Egypt's ports.
Custom & large-scale furniture manufacturer
Can you manufacture a one-off custom piece?
We focus on custom pieces that will be produced in quantity or as part of a larger project — a hotel, restaurant chain, compound or office building. One-off pieces are quoted when they sit within such a scope.
What do you need from us to quote?
A sketch, drawings or reference images, the intended use, the quantity and any material or finish references. We return a 3D model, samples, a prototype price and a quantity price.
Can you produce parametric or CNC-sculpted furniture?
Yes — parametric benches, slatted walls, curved desks and CNC-sculpted pieces are modelled in 3D and machined on Morbidelli (panels) and Bacci (solid wood) CNC centres, then assembled and finished in the factory.
Is Hammer one of the largest furniture manufacturers in Egypt?
With three specialised factories, 11,000+ m² under roof, 150+ staff and a peak output of 200 doors, 30 complete hotel rooms and 30 furniture pieces a day, Hammer is one of the largest integrated furniture manufacturers in Egypt.
Furniture manufacturer for developers
Which developers have you worked with?
Door programmes for Emaar Misr (Uptown Cairo) and Innovo (SAADA), hotel and resort programmes for operators on the Red Sea, and an export collaboration with MAG in Dubai in progress.
Can you commit to a multi-phase handover schedule?
Yes — production is planned per phase and building, stock is reserved for the whole programme, and installation is scheduled to the handover dates. The automated door line and panel factory give the capacity to keep up with large compounds.
Do you offer per-unit pricing?
Yes — after the show apartment is approved we price per unit type (doors, kitchen, wardrobes, bathroom units), which makes budgeting per building and per phase straightforward.
Do you install on site?
Yes — our own installation teams work across Egypt, unit by unit to the handover schedule, coordinated with the main contractor.
